EOSIO Weekly: Featuring Ricardo Schiller, Lead Architect of BlockBase (December 9, 2020)
In this weeks episode Corey and Jimmy D continue their mission of bringing you a more lighter and rapid fire version of everything going on in the EOSIO space. Of course, it just wouldn’t be the same without our overtly opinionated and zaney commentary on all things within their minds eye view in the moment, so we throw in a little of that too.
For the second half of the show Corey and Jimmy D welcome the one and only Ricardo Schiller, Lead Architect of BlockBase, one of the most timely and amazing projects in the whole EOS space. Tune in below to catch the low down and don’t forget, all the news stories we managed to get through and then some are all posted beneath to save you the grief of having to go and research them yourselves ;D
BlockBase: The Power of Blockchain Applied to Databases
BlockBase uses blockchain technology to provide secure and distributed database storage services. It stores database operations on sidechains to the EOS main chain, which are governed through smart contracts on EOS. To learn more about how BlockBase works, check our documentation on GitHub below.
In order to use BlockBase’s software, you have to run a BlockBase node. The BlockBase node API provides all the functionalities for service requesters (the ones who want to use the service to store their databases) and service providers (the ones who want to provide the service).
The current BlockBase software version is running as beta on the EOS network. Find out more at BlockBase.Network

Analyst Taylor Ryker details “some perspective of the accomplishments of Block.one in 2020 so that we can better see how they are just one part of the EOS community. Block.one’s contributions to EOS and EOSIO are not mutually exclusive” and they have done quite a lot that has been overlooked or outright ignored by especially the disgruntled part of the community. If you are at all interested in the reality of fact and learning what they have really been up to CWC Newsletter #47 (December 9, 2020) a mecca of informativeness you surely don’t want to miss.
It is actually crazy how detailed this second series is. It is pre-minted. There is a chance for 1,080 first mints within the combination of cards and boarders, and other goods across various rarities. There are collectors editions that can be obtained through a burn mechanism. And to top it all off there is a new tool created in combination with Bounty Block that allows for gifting through email of some of the packs from the second sale to family and friends, which will itself be gifted to the community for any project to use at a later date.
